In 1901, William (carman) and Emma E Wicks are living at 32 Mersey Street, Hammersmith, with children Sarah 15, John Z 9, Charles S 7, James J 4, and William 14, which accounts for some of the children in the list of baptisms I found. So it doesn't look like the same family as your HW Wicks.

Remind me, who are the parents you have for HW, and where are they in 1901?

Hello Mary
I have HW's parents as Henry and Annie Elizabeth (nee Payne). In 1901 they are in Forset Rd, Walthamstow, and Henry is an Assurance agent. (as he is on HW's Marriage to Caroline Dowsett) Last edited by Muggins in Sussex; 30-01-10 at 17:15. |

Joan
You are so used to problems you assume there are going to be problems even if there aren't. Take a deep breath, calm down and work slowly backwards telling us what you DO have.

So a baptism to parents William (carman) and Emma Elizabeth in Notting Hill wasn't really on the cards, then?
