which is the best way to find a living person?
i have found her birth and marriage
and she had no kids in england and wales registers and she would be quite old now? so may well be dead but she is not ancestry death index she is maybe half sister of friend so she would like to make contact before time runs out any help or ideas thanks and any idea of cost? thanks tink |

No, she might have ticked the privacy box for the electoral register and be ex-directory.

Do you have an address for her at all, from any year?
If so write to the address and say you are trying to locate X and ask them to pass on your letter or return it to you with details of any changes that they may know about. You never know what will happen.

Don't know if Tracesmart is any better than 192.com.
If you have an address even if its a few years old and she's gone - try looking or asking someone to lookup longstanding neighbours (always be a nosy neighbour) who might be able to tell you what happened to her. I found a nosy neighbour who was terrific in info she gave. |
