I overlooked the fact on the 1911 census that she had a child who died. She was Louisa Sarah Cole and baptized at Horsted Keynes, Sussex on 16 Sep 1894, abode Horsted Keynes. Little Louisa was buried in Jan 1897 at Fletching, (next parish) and the address is given as the cottages on the farm where my son now lives.
Sarah was pregnant at the time and her baby, my son's great grandmother, must have been born in the same cottages four months later on 12th May, though they chose to have her christened at Horsted Keynes which is an easier journey than to Fletching church. |
