I've often noticed Peter says:

which is something I hardly ever do!

I found the people from the sampler in less steps that he did, though I did start with Ancestry, and would have then had to move to fmp to view the PR pages once I know the family were from Staffordshire. I wouldn't have searched for Jane first either.
