Anyone who is interested in visiting the Cornwall Record Office at Truro needs to check their web site. Briefly from Jan 2012 it's opening hours have changed. It will not be open the first week of any month and for the rest of the month is open Tuesday to Friday 9 am to 4.30 pm. It is also open either 2nd or 3rd Saturday of month, check the web site.

Thanks Jay. I had a look a while back but there were only limited entries. This is great.

Will the images disappear once they are indexed does anyone think?

Who knows, Toni. THey were on there before, and I had a month or so of avidly looking up my ancestors, then they suddenly disappeared again. Let's hope they are back for good this time.

There was some dispute I think Elizabeth which was why they were removed.
I found two marriages today at St. Hilary. My Robert Ford had information crossed out and sojourner written in. I would love to know what was crossed out!! With Alexander Bryant it was so faded that they did really well to transcribe it. His name was written as Bryan and then where he signed his cross, his name was written as Brian .. fortunately he married a lady called Grace Rodda and that was quite distinct. Thanks again UJ very chuffed with these.

I've found a few things which is good. I don't know whether to do things methodically or look at what is really important first.
