Default Will Tirwhit

On Google books, "Abstracts of Records and Manuscripts Respecting the County of Gloucestershire", vol 1, by Thomas Dudley Fosbrooke, published 1807, has a section about the Kingscote family, which includes the following:

Anthony, a conspicuous person in the gr. rebellion, mentioned in Bish. Burnett's life of Sir Matth. Hale, and a very exemplary magistrate and man, marr. Cath, dr. of Rob Chambers, of Bath, (Bur. at Kingscote, Dec 31, 1664. Reg.) by whom he had Abraham, Will. (who by Susan ____ had iss. Jane, John, and Ann) Christ. (who by Ann had iss. Ma. Eliz. Rob. and Jane, and died 1679) Matth. John, Ma. w. of Nath. Cambridge, Eliz. w. of Nath. Ridler, ancestor of the Ridlers of Edgworth, Jane w. of Will. Dorney, of Uley, and Joan w. of Will. Tirwhit, marr. at St Paul's wharf, London, Ann w. of John June, of Clanfield, Gent. (Marr. Sept. 20, 1664. Reg.) and Esther w. of Giles Nash, of Woodchester. (Marr. May 8, 1690. Reg.) Anth. was buried at Kingscote, Aug 26, 1654.

Some of the above is correct and some is wrong. And I'm still in the process of checking some of it. Unfortunately, Anthony didn't name all his children in his will. His daughter Ann(e) is not the one who married John Gune (that was her niece), as she died unmarried in 1657 and her will mentions mother Katherine, brother Abraham, and sisters Mary, Jeane (or possibly Joane?), Elizabeth and Ester. This is the link to Anne's will:
https://www.ancestry.co.uk/interacti...90676431/facts

Abraham Kingscote's will of 1670 mentions "my brother Edward Dorney", and there is a burial of Jane or Jeane, wife of Edward Dorney, 10 Jun 1678 at Uley.

So, what I'm trying to figure out at the moment is whether Joan, wife of William Tirwhit, married at St Paul's Wharf, London, actually existed, and if so, was she Anthony's daughter or some other relative? But I can't find any trace of this couple at the moment! Can anyone find anything, please?

So far I can only find Tyrwhitt.

Is this the Kingscote family that is tied in with Jenner (of smallpox vaccine) ?

This might help.

It does mention Jeane Dorney's death. It says Jean was the daughter of Anthony Kingscot.

Yes, I found Jeane / Jane, thanks, Libby. She was the wife of Edward Dorney. I found the same thing, which confirmed it was the right person. It's Joan I'm trying to trace now.

I'm sure it was spelt multiple ways for the same person in those days!

Yes, it looks as though they are connected.

Ooh, I've found the banns on FreeREG:
William Terret / Jone Kingscot, 21 Jun 1656 / 23 Jun 1656 / 30 Jun 1656 St Benet, Castle Baynard, City of London.

St Benet Castle Baynard seems to be the same church as St Benet, Paul's Wharf, and the page seems to be missing from the images on ancestry as it goes from November 1655 to 24 Jun 1656 (it looks as though there would be just one entry, on the first date of the banns, with the other dates written on the same line.)

Edit - it looks as though FreeREG took it from the book of transcriptions "The registers of St Bene't and St Peter, Paul's Wharf, London", which is on archive.org

but now I need to prove that Jone Kingscot was a daughter of Anthony and Katherine!

Aha! The banns were called at St Benet's, Paul's Wharf, but they actually married at Kingscote! Found it in Phillimore's: Mr. William Terret, of St Bennet's, Paule's Wharfe, in London, and Mrs Joane Kingscote, of Kingscote - 10 July 1656.

Here is the image on ancestry, not very well transcribed which is why I didn't find it before:
