Thanks Peppie, very interesting reading. I'm a bit confused about the children? I didn't think they'd had any, but it says 2 in 1900 and 8 in 1910.

It does and also says none of them are living.. wonder if she just lost them
Wouldnt know how to check Arkansas births and deaths...

I know they didn't have any in 1881 (though soem may have been born) but she was getting on a bit to be having children between 1900 and 1910 anyway.

Hm. Found a George Mealing born Bedwelty reg district (where Charles & Mary Ann married) in 1866 (same year as marriage) but he is on census 1871 with mother Maria.

Also found twins, Louis and Louisa Mealing born 1874 Bedwelty and a death ref for Louisa. No idea what happened to Louis.
