Portsmouth burials - excellent service

If you have Portsmouth relatives and want details of burials from the Cemeteries Department, do e-mail them.

I contacted them about three weeks ago with a list. They were very busy with burials because of the winter weather, but said they would get back to me.

Today arrived details of all the burials I wanted. The dates ranged from 1859 to 1845.

The charge? None!

Do they have Mile End Cemetery, though?

That's where most of mine are in "too heavy to lift" volumes last seen in Museum Road.

(Hmmm I feel an afternoon visit to my aged aunt is imperative!)

All mine happened to be in Kingston Cemetery, but I gave them the deaths and they said they would search all cemeteries.
