There are too many possible birth regs for all the children! I see there is a William Hopkins age 20 with the family in 1841, so it's possible that he is Mary's brother and that she will turn out to be a Hopkin(s). Hopefully when the Welsh PR's go online there will be something to help.

Yes, I'm hoping to find a lot with the Welsh PRs!

Thank you Amanda and KiteRunner.

If James was really two years in 1851 hen there's only two possible registrations for his birth:

Births Jun 1849

Lewis James Swansea 26 597
Lewis James Swansea 26 587

Of course, he may not have been registered

Thanks Merry, when I am rich I may get a cert, but not in funds at the moment and there are other certs that take priority!
