Thanks for your interest, Kite. I suppose William Andrew didn't have to leave a will, but I'd love a mention of "Andrew Mill" or "Roughtown". "Upper Mill" isn't enough.
Saddleworth is quite a difficult place to research as the families there intermarry and there are a lot of people with the same four or five surnames. Furthermore, you have to look at PRs for Yorkshire, Cheshire and Lancashire when you are searching. |

Hmm, this just could be the baptism of Mary Andrew:
Name: Mary Andrew Gender: Female Baptism/Christening Date: 02 Nov 1788 Baptism/Christening Place: Mossley, Lancashire, England Father's Name: Willm. Andrew Father's Birthplace: Father's Age: Mother's Name: Betty Mother's Birthplace: Mother's Age: Indexing Project (Batch) Number: I04005-1 It's just down the road from Saddleworth. The date ties in pretty well with the census and Mary's death certificate. |

Since I posted this, the image of the marriage has appeared on Ancestry.
Betty is stated as being from the parish of Ashton under Line. |
