Default Betty

Sorry, not much here.

I'm taking an educated (don't laugh) guess.

Betty married John Ashton.
They had a daughter, Mary, baptised 17th June 1804, Burton Woods, Lancs.

John and Betty Ashton are still alive in 1841:

1841 Census
ASHTON, Betty
WARRINGTON, Lancashire
HO107 piece 521 folio 1/9 page 10

He is a farmer. They have William, Ann and Jane living with them.

Thanks Elizabeth.

All I'm assuming here is that John and Betty's daughter, Mary, is the Mary Ashton who married John Dickinson in Leigh in 1823.

Julie..I have Mary and John Dickinson on the census and have found the one Elizabeth has posted.

I just can't really be sure these Ashtons are Lawrie's, but I'm fairly confident.

I can't find Betty or John in 1851 or 1861.

Did where Mary was on the Census agree with the baptism?
