John and Betty Ashton are still alive in 1841:
1841 Census ASHTON, Betty WARRINGTON, Lancashire HO107 piece 521 folio 1/9 page 10 He is a farmer. They have William, Ann and Jane living with them.

Julie..I have Mary and John Dickinson on the census and have found the one Elizabeth has posted.
I just can't really be sure these Ashtons are Lawrie's, but I'm fairly confident. I can't find Betty or John in 1851 or 1861.
