Robert Ford Born C 1809 Breage
My ancestors Robert Ford (Miner) and Grace Williams M 1800 Perranuthnoe.
I am trying to establish who Robert Ford Born C 1809 Breage is? Is he a child of Robert Ford and Grace Williams? Childrens Bapt. found: Grace 1801, Mary 1804, Anna 1818 at Perranuthnoe. Near Anna's headstone at Perranuthnoe is Mary wife of Robert Ford d 1868 aged 65. Marriage Sithney 1828 Robert Fo(a)rd and Mary Lawry, Ch. William 1829, Robert 1831, Thomas 1835. I have been told in 1851 Census reg. Truro - Robert 42 Born Breage, Mary 47 Guelval, William 21, Richard? 19, Thomas 15. Can anyone find the birth of Robert please? I cannot find him on Cornwall OPC. |

I have found a burial Parish of Lanlivery on 13.12.1868 of Robert Ford aged 61 Residence Tywardreath. It could be him, if so born between 1807 and 1809. Maybe he wasn't baptised so he can't be found.

They're down as Frid in 1861 with Robert's age as 56, Copper and Tin Mine Agent, living at St Perranuthnoe. If I've found the right couple!
It could be that he was baptised but his baptism isn't online, of course. |

Kate, Thank you so - I thought Ford/Forde but then found Foard and now Frid. I even looked for Lord but couldn't find it. There is another Robert Ford family at the same time and that makes it even more confusing!! I'll have a look at it under Frid!!

I would contact the OPC http://www.cornwall-opc.org/Par_new/a_d/breage.php
OPCs have local knowledge sometimes |

OOH Goodie - it gives me a reason to sort the loooooong list of parishes which two branches of my father's mother family were connected to. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to Joy & her OH. Nan's father was called Capn (Captain) Bryant, which I always gives it a special Cornish feel. I just wish the name Bryant didn't have so many different spellings!!
