Default Can anyone find the following probate record?

Parrott Richard . 1754 Probate Bletchingdon Oxfordshire

I'm hoping it will reveal something about the following:

Title Lease for a Year (Release missing)
Description PARTIES:
1. John Parrott of Wotten Underwood,
Bucks., Cousin and heir of Richard
Parrott of Bletchingdon.
2. Arthur Annesley (VIII) of the Inner
Temple, London, Esq.
PROPERTY: Messuage with house, divided
into 3 tenements, and close (described)
adjoining, all in Bletchingdon.

NOTE: SL18 (The Aplin and Hunt papers)
include deeds which show that Arthur
(VIII) sold this property to Arthur
Annesley (X) in 1782 for £220.

It doesn't help that the surname and the place name can be spelt in different ways.

Parrat Richard . 19 Jan 1754 Buried 58, Hannah Wise Bletchingdon Oxfordshire

It is listed in the Oxfordshire Wills Index on Origins.net, Elizabeth - Richard Parrott, gardener, Bletchingdon, Oxfordshire, 1754. Court: Oxford: Bishop & Archdeacon. Document Reference Will, 213.278; 146/1/16. That much comes up on the free search of their so-called National Wills Index, and then you have to pay to view the Registered Will.

It looks as though you have to buy 60 credits at a cost of £6.50 and then it will cost 20 of those credits to view one Oxfordshire will.

Fantastic, Kate! Many thanks.
I think I shall order it through the Oxfordshire Archives, or go in person.
They are rather slow at replying.

Kate, multiple thanks again!

I used the search and came up with my 4xgreat-grandfather's administration - he died aged 29, probably unexpectedly, just 4 years after his marriage.

PARROTT JOHN PARROTT 1789 Thame, Oxfordshire Oxford: Peculiars Administration Bond, Pec.21.129; Pec.49/3/44

Off to look at any others they might have.

Did it let you view the image of the 'act book'?

Tuck Jane
19th Nov 1803, Admon of the goods of the late Jane Tuck late of Thame, widow and formerly the widow of John Parrott late of the same place, intestate was granted to Thomas Rose during the minority of the children of the said John Parrott deceased.

There's another reference as well

ON Reference 34230
Document Type Original Will
Document Reference Pec.61/1/6

I've got an Origins sub so not sure what info you can see for free.

Jay, you're an angel! I clicked on it but couldn't see anything - that is just fantastic detail.
I have Thomas Rose's will so I knew he looked after the children.

No probs!

The one for John reads

Parrott John
12th Dec 1789, Admon of the goods of John Parrott late of Thame deceased was granted to Jane Parrott his widow.

Also there's anothr reference

25788
Original Will
Pec.49/3/44

I suspect the two references to 'original will' are really the original admons.

I didn't know they had any images for wills until i'd seen this post, maybe this is new?

Anyway they have Chester Wills 1519-1940 & Oxfordshire Wills 1516-1857. FMP have Cheshire wills but I don't think they go upto 1940?

EDIT - FMP have - wills and probate records include all surviving original wills of Cheshire residents proved at the Chester diocesan consistory court 1492-1857 and registered copies made at Chester Probate Registry 1858-1911.
