The marriage image says John Winkils of the parish of Elham (ba) married Judith Wood of the same parish (sp) May the 1st 1748 per licence.

FamilySearch doesn't seem to have any earlier Wincles in Kent, so maybe John was born in a different county. There seem to be a few born in London / Westminster who I need to have a look at.

There is a Thomas Winkles buried in 1734 in Elham, and an Elizabeth Winkells buried there in 1746. Elizabeth Winkles baptised 18 Jul 1700 and Margaret 30 Jul 1705, daughters of Thomas and Elizabeth. Another Thomas Winkles burial in 1756. Also Thomas Winckels married Juliana Travillion 31 Aug 1714,and they had a daughter Ann baptised 21 Aug 1715 at Elham and another daughter Elizabeth baptised 25 May 1717 at Faversham or Folkestone.

So, could my John be a relative of these people, possibly a son of Thomas and Juliana?
