MyHeritage now lets you group your DNA matches!
A new feature just added on MyHeritage - Labels let you organize DNA Matches by grouping them according to common ancestors, shared DNA segments, or other genealogical information. You can then filter the matches to see those associated with a specific label.
Ooh, this is going to keep me busy! |

You get 28 different colours for groups plus "favorites", i.e. starred matches. But it seems as though it will let you make more than one group using the same colour, so maybe it will allow more than 29 groups altogether? By comparison, on Ancestry you only get 24 colours plus starred matches.

As far as I can tell, you can only add people to groups when you are looking at the list of matches, not when you are "reviewing" a single match. Quite annoying. Hopefully they will change that. For now I will try to remember to right-click and review the match in a new tab so I still have the list in the other tab. I think it maybe used to be like that on Ancestry too though.

Oh, brilliant, I'd been hoping they'd do that. It's such a pain to keep track of the matches without it.
Now what we need is for Ancestry to add a chromosome browser I've been having a lot of fun playing with DNAPainter, but it's a pity that lots of my interesting matches on Ancestry haven't uploaded their trees to any other sites, so I can't add them to it. |

It's annoying that when you look at people's shared matches, the group colour/name isn't displayed, whereas it is on Ancestry.

Is this feature only available to people with subscriptions?

No, because I've got it and I haven't got a sub.

When you look at your list of DNA matches, do you see symbols on the left-hand side of each one - a square, a star and a speech bubble?
