I am wondering if this is the family in 1841:

At Baghay Farm where they were in 1851: PRO Ref HO 107/951/8

John Chard 55 (Should be James, but son John was called Jimmy)
Elizabeth 50
Amelia 20 (Should be Elizabeth but maybe called Amelia, because mother was Elizabeth)
William 20

I am wondering if the confusion was because their eight year old daughter had died in February.

I have looked for a Chard family in 1851 Census on Free Reg and I cannot find them.

Libby - A cousin gave me last year - 1851 Baghay Farm - Callard John, 30 Unmarried, Farm labourer, Elizabeth 26, Unmarried, Farm labourer, Elizabeth 61 Widow Head. Are they with the Chards or can't you see the Callards?

No Callards at Baghay Farm. There's the same family you have in 1841 (only 10 yeras older) and Jane Thorne and Mary Monkley who are servants.

I've got the Callards as farm labourers......just checking where....

They don't have an actual address, but they are 5 pages further on from the Chards at Baghay Farm and Mr Chard only employs 5 men, 2 lads and 1 woman.
