Default MMF Unknown!!

This is OH's biggest brick wall.

None of the below are known:
Name - "official" name and what they were known as
Date and place of birth
Names of parents
Date and place of baptism - if applicable
Details of each of his or her marriages - if any
Occupation(s) - if any
Military service - if any
Addresses where they lived - and please list which censuses you have or haven't found him/her on.
Date, place and cause of death
Date and place of burial / cremation.
Details of will / administration of their estate - if applicable
Memorial inscription - if any

This unknown man had two children with
Sarah Ann Blackshaw
Daisy Blackshaw born 24 February 1884
Mary Elsie Blackshaw born 3 April 1889

The relationship between Sarah and Mr Unknown was of some duration and apparently he was married. Sarah was a ladies' maid for some of her life, and and it is then that we believe they met. Mr Unknown paid for the upkeep of the two girls, who were brought up separately.

Thanks, KiteRunner.

She was boarded out in Guildford, just a few streets away from where my mother's family lived.

What a pity one wasn't a boy, so there was the possibility of a dna test on a descendant. Guildford must have been oozing with men rich enough to support a mistress.

In 1891 Sarah is probably this one, lying madly about her age:

RG number: RG12 Piece: 902 Folio: 50 Page:9

Address: Forest House, Bath Road, Christchurch, Bournemouth County:
Hampshire

She was born on 17 September 1848
157 Heneage Street, Aston, Warwickshire
did not marry
died 31 March 1938

Could someone please do me a favour and see if Mary Elsie's baptism is on Ancestry?

She was born in April 1889 in Stockwell. I'm sure I recollect finding a baptism, but I don't seem to have recorded it.

I can't see her baptism on there but there is a marriage on 2.10.1909 to Percy Gerald Newton who was an architect. Her father's details are blank. Daisy and Sarah Ann Blackshaw were the witnesses. Let me know if you want the image or any more details.

I looked for her baptism earlier and didn't find it.

Thanks, Jackie and KiteRunner.

I wish I knew where I had seen it - I'll ask my daughter, she'll remember!
