Date and place of birth: Manchester according to the 1851 census. Born aprox 1793c from the ages given on information I have.

Names of parents: John Beckitt (from an apprentice record for Joshua) & ??

Date and place of baptism: Unknown; however a baptism that keeps jumping out at me is 31st March 1793 at Stockport, Cheshire. Stockport isnt a million miles away from Manchester and the father on this baptism is John Beckitt. THe mother on this one is called Ann. This is from Familysearch

Details of each of his or her marriages: 21st February 1813 at St Peter & Paul (Cathedral), Sheffield, to Hannah Birks. Witnesses were both resident witnesses at this church.

Memorial inscription: There was previously a memorial at the plot but was destroyed in the late 1970s with a large number of other stones. Joshua is buried with his wife, 2 adult children who never married, and 3 grandchildren.
