I don't think I've got a hope in hell of finding Mary Duffy's parents

Well, have you found her death yet?

No.

I have searched and have few to choose from but none of them look like they could be her.

I put 1898 -1901 in as a search criteria because she wasn't deceased on Janet's marriage in 1898 but on John McMillan's death certificate his status is 'Widower of Mary Duffy'. So I assumed it was between those dates but none of them looked likely so I widened my search to the last census I found her on 1891 just in case.

I now have to have a good look at all of them before I spend anymore credits.

No I wasted a lot of credits do you think I can find her and there's only a small window 1898-1901 all the ones that seem likely weren't her but my contact gave me Mary Duffy's parents names and their parents names and some good information and I gave her a some information she didn't know

Both the McMillans and Duffys came out of Ireland the Duffys certainly did from Monaghan County John McMillan's parentage still remain a mystery at the moment but I think they were Irish immigrants.

Mary Duffy's parents were John Duffy and Mary McKenzie from Ireland, John Duffy actually put Monaghan County, Ireland on one of the census!

Mary's two oldest brothers John and George were born in Ireland Mary and her sister's Margaret and Sarah were born in Ayrshire from the census records.


Mary McKenzie's parents were John McKenzie and Mary Mclean from Ireland.
