How do you know that's his baptism, Babs? His children were all baptised at Old Swinford in Worcestershire, so couldn't he be one of the Richard Parkes who was baptised there? There's one baptised 4 Aug 1754, son of William and Elizabeth, another 3 Oct 1762, son of John and Sarah, and one 1 Jun 1766, son of Benjamin and Mary. Since your Richard got married in 1784 and had children called John and Sarah, my money is on that 1762 baptism but as far as I can see, it could be any of them?

Babs
The NBI has loads of burials for Parkes in Old Swinford. This could be your Richard if Kate has found the right baptism. 21 Nov 1792 Richard Parks aged 30 buried at St Mary's, Old Swinford A lot of the burials don't have ages, the only other Richard that does is 29 Sept 1823 a Richard Parkes aged 57 making him born in 1766

Babs's Richard had a son James baptised in 1798 (with a previous child baptised 1794), so he can't be the one who was buried in 1792. Could mean that he (Babs' 4xg-g) isn't the one baptised 1762 then.
