Ancestry Search Q
Sorry if this has been asked before.
I have done a search o Ancestry using a husband's surname in full and his wife's surname in the Spouse box using ? and * to replace some letters because it's tricky to spell. I always have exact matches ticked. From this search I get 11 trees for the couple, but the wife's name on the trees bears no resemblance to what I entered. If I do the search again with the name from the results instead, I get the same 11 trees. Does this mean those 11 trees previously had the name I used in my first search and have all been changed to replacement name? I can't think of anther reason why those results would come up when I have exact matches ticked.

It's a long time since I've noticed that, but it certainly used to happen.
