FamilySearch has a baptism for Abraham Mullens 3 May 1789 at West Coker, Somerset, parents Onesiphones Mullens and Ann. On FreeREG the father's name is Onesiphorus. And FamilySearch has a marriage at West Coker 5 Mar 1782 between Onesiphorus Mullens and Ann Hawkins.

Onesiphones? Are you kidding me????

Thanks KiteRunner. I'll check that out. I do know that last time I looked on FS many years ago there were several Abraham Mullins/ens baptisms and I wasn't able to decide which was mine.

If only your Abraham had named his eldest son Onesiphorus, you could be pretty sure!

Default Had a look on FamilySearch and found

several children for :Onesiphorus, with his name recorded as
Onesiphorous, Onesiphoris, Onesiphonsan, Onesiphonsous and Onesiphones.

Well, its a change from William and John and Thomas!

A useful bonus is that Freereg gives Onesiph's occupation on his marriage record as sail cloth maker. One of the witnesses is recorded as Abraham Randel, and there's an earlier marriage, 1704 or 5, between an Abraham Mullens and a Mary Rendell.

Freereg also has a baptism for a child for Onesiphorus & Ann which isn't on FamilySearch.
