Default Susanna Browning Moore Earl 1814-1887 Cambridge

[If this is her baptism, and father's name corresponds with her 2nd marriage cert, then she was baptised when a small child]

from Genuki: Holy Trinity church, at the intersection of Sidney and Market streets
Holy Trinity is right in the middle of Cambridge's shopping area, hemmed in by Sidney Street and Market Street. King Street runs from Sidney Street east to Maid's Causeway.

Almost certainly the Susan Moore of Smarts Row, St Andrew the Less who registered death of her brother Thomas' daughter, Elizabeth:
14 Feb 1949 at 8 Albert Street, Cambridge.
Elizabeth, aged 5, daughter o f Thomas Browning, shoemaker. Cause of death: smallpox 14 days, never vaccinated (certified). Informant X the mark of Susan Moore present at the death, Smarts Row, Saint Andrew the Less, Cambridge. 15 Feb 1849.

1866, 27 June, William Moore, Susan's husband, died at 37 Staffordshire Street. His death was registered by his sister-in-law, Sarah Loker.

[Not mentioned in 1839 directory. The Man On The Moon 2 Norfolk Street Cambridge is on the corner of Staffordshire Street 2006 but it is a modern building, named after this one. http://www.cambridge-pubs.co.uk/]

Between April 1871 and April 1881 the Earls moved to 50 South Street. Susannah's daughter Elizabeth was a servant at no. 55 in 1861 and her daughter Eliza Moore and her husband Robert Jarvis lived at no. 9 in 1881 and no. 28 in 1891.

Susanna's putative nephew Robert Browning (son of her putative brother, also Robert) murdered Emma Rolfe on Midsummer Common, Barnwell. He was hanged on 15 December, 8 days after the birth of Susanna's granddaughter Annie Eliza Matthews.

Cause of death: bronchitis, senile decay, certified by Geo. Hunstone, MRCS.
X the mark of Susan Ann Dellar, daughter of deceased, present at the death, 68 Gurney Road, Leightonstone Road, Stratford, 27th January 1887.

Burial: Susanna EARL 1 Feb 1887 Aged 72 Cambridge St Andrew the Less [Cambridge NBI ]
