Who are Alice and Doris? They don't seem to exist in 1901, nor can I see a birth reg for Doris.

Oh, Alice said she had been married to Wilfred for two years, but there is this entry:

Marriages Jun 1909
BURDETT Sophia Aston 6d 564
DEXTER Alice May Aston 6d 564 <<<<<<<<<<
HEATH William Henry Aston 6d 564
TANSUR James Henry Aston 6d 564

just a coincidence?

According to the 1911 Census, Doris was born c. 1900 at Erdington, Warwickshire.

A Doris Flora S Dexter was born 2nd quarter 1900 in the King's Norton reg. district.

Edit - It isn't her as she is with her parents on the 1911 Census.

Coincidence. Alice and Wm Heath are together in 1911.

I found James Henry Tansur with wife Sophia in a 1925 Electoral Register.

I looked at the same entries!

Erdington is in Aston district.

Yes, I just spotted them, Merry.

So:
Wilfrid is in prison at the time of 1901 Census.
Wilfrid married in Dublin in 1901 between October and end of December (such an unusual name).

In 1911 he is with his "Wife of two years" Alice and his "step-daughter" Doris Dexter.

Wilfrid's probate is on Ancestry, with his name spelt incorrectly:

Name: Wilfred Joseph Henry Rickaston
Probate Date: 24 Oct 1952
Death Date: 16 Jun 1949
Death Place: Stratford upon Avon
Registry: London, England

His £122 went to Doreen Annette Daniell, married woman.
She was the daughter of his brother Louis, so it would appear Wilfrid had no children of his own.

Wilfrid's brother's Claude's probate record is two lines below his, which is how I spotted it.

I know the feeling, Merry. I keep returning to this.
These siblings are all quite easy to trace as the boys have slightly unusual names.

Wilfrid Joseph Henry
Claude William Robert
Annie Helen E
Louis Alfred
