Default Ancestry Hints

What's the point of these Ancestry hints? Today's classis is ….

Is this person - Richard Crampe who married in 1640-something in Essex the same person as Joseph Tyler (on my tree)?

My Joseph Tyler wasn't born until 1758 so why would he be marrying over 100 years before he was born and under a different name (and in a different county to a different wife!)? How does Ancestry decide a record might be of interest?

I suggest it bought the algorithm from GR hot matches. Or vice versa.

I think a lot of people find them really useful. Why else would I be routinely directed to people who are born in one county, marry in another and die in a third?

I hate them with a vengeance. What annoys me most (almost most anyway) is that even when you click to "ignore" the ridiculous ones, a couple of weeks later - they reappear! Why????
