I thought when he sent me this ref that it was the same Edward Humphery Jones. So back to the drawing board.

And a record I have not come across before

1891 4560 20 13
Edward Jones,farm servant,born 1874 Sheffield,working for a Methodist preacher(Enoch Watkin James) near Aberystwyth.

Kate, in post 484 you asked if I knew if Edward owned the farm or rented it, He did own it, then it passed to his son William then when he died, William's wife Ellen sold it.

the Florence Jones(adopted daughter) on the 1901,1911 censuses is not Florence Rose Jones but a Florence M Jones, also born 1881 Northampton(and to a Henry G Jones).

The link for this Florence is the Ward family:
1901 153 72 69 (Sarah Joice is nee Ward)
1891 1119 33 20 (Florence M Jones listed as niece to Edwin Ward
1881 1543 93 20 (Florence M Jones,daughter to Emily Jones nee Ward)
(obviously co-exists with Rose Jones on the 1881 census)
1861 876 66 19 (Edwin,Sarah and Emily Ward together)

Can anyone look at this an see what they think, a friend sent this to me, also I have been told that Edward had links to Shropshire, how I am not sure, it was all abit vague, also was told that his father had died in prison in Staffordshire. I know my his daughter Mary used to visit someone in Shropshire who she said was her cousin, but whether this is from her mother's side or father's side not sure, he had a farm nr Ironbridge, remember going as a child, its only looking through old photo's that I remember about the farm, I know this person has died but not sure if his wife is still alive, or whether his son is running the farm or it may have been sold on. I have details of the farm but can't post them on here.

I don't know what I'm supposed to be thinking or understand how Shropshire fits in to this but I presume these are the parents:

Marriages Dec 1879

CHILDS Elizabeth Northampton 3b 144
Jones Henry Garbett Northampton 3b 144 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Ward Emily Northampton 3b 144 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
WARREN Richard William Northampton 3b 144

There's a birth in the same name but it's in 1846 whilst he says he's 26 in 1881!

What I am confused with, is that I have a feeling that Kate had posted that Florence Rose was adopted by Sarah Joice, which I am inclined to think Kate is right, But the person who sent me this info seems to think that the Florence that was adopted by Sarah was a Florence M, not Florence Rose. plus these 2 Florence were born born in Northampton.

You have the birth cert for Florence Rose, don't you, so you know the child with Henry G and Emily is a different Florence and now it makes sense that the Florence shown as adopted is the child of Emily Ward. So I would agree with your contact.
