Actually, I think this burial says 74 years, not 94, which would make him much closer to the ages of his brides.

Here's a possible baptism for James:
James Birch Baptism 1 May 1763 St Margaret, Uxbridge, Middlesex Henry, Eliz There's no occ for Henry on that baptism, but there is this burial: Henry Birch Burial 30 Nov 1788 St John the Baptist, Hillingdon, Middlesex which says the dec'd was a tailor, so same occ as your James.

Thanks again, Merry. Yes,74 seems more likely & it looks as if his father was Henry.
The tailoring went through the generations & daughter Harriet married her cousin William Headland who was another tailor. |
