If anyone has time.
I found this photo of my grandmother in a box of old (useless) papers.
This is scanned at 300. I have 600 if that is better. The words on the bottom say...... Yours lovingly Lil. Blow...it won't upload. I got this message.... Upload Errors Lil Flanagan 300 dpi.jpg: The Dimension limits for this filetype are 620 x 280. We were unable to resize your file so you will need to do so manually and upload it again. Your file is currently 2400 x 3437. If anyone knows how to fix it, please let me know. Thanks.

Libby, make a duplicate of the photo (copy it and paste it back, the computer will give it a new name).
Right-click on the copy. Open with... Microsoft Office Picture Manager Edit Pictures... Resize Percentage of original width x height: Start clicking the little down arrow next to the percent sign. As the percentage goes down, keep an eye on "New size" under "Size setting summary" below. Keep going until the longer side shows no more than 620 and the shorter side shows no more than 280. Save it. Now you can upload. |

Best I can do, as I'm a bit rusty at this restoration. Haven't done any for ages.
Can't do anything with the frame, I'm afraid. This one I've cropped Frame off. This one I've enlarged slightly.

She was a nice lady. She had a terrible life after her marriage. He was an abusive alcoholic who ruled the house in a truly horrible way. Nobody would have believed her as he was a doctor. He sent the kids off to boarding school at 5, probably so they couldn't see what was going on. The stories are horrific.
I was really pleased to find this picture of her, probably taken before her marriage. She deserves to be remembered as a survivor.
