Just looked again at the 1851 don't think I was right about Jane being his wife, but looking ancestry there is a few people searching for a Robert Jones, with Susanah as his Wife, also there was one that has parents name for a Robert Jones from Gwyntherin, but not sure if this is the right family either. names his parents as James b. 1749 d. 1830, born & died in Henllan, & Elizabeth. marriage 28th Aug 1776, Henllan Parish Church

Aren't Robert and Susannah the couple in Bryngwyn Isa in 1851, as per post #21 on the old thread?
http://www.genealogistsforum.co.uk/F...?t=9418&page=3

It shows Robert as being born about 1779-80 in Gwtherin, Denbighshire. Then post #22 has the 1861 entry which has the same info but living at a different address.

Also if you look at post #78 on your old thread, the Robert who was born in Henllan is still in Henllan on the 1851 census, so he isn't your Robert.

Oooh, Findmypast has the marriage between Robert Jones and Susannah Owens - Robert Jones of the parish of Ysceifiog, bachelor, son of William Jones, age 27, and Susannah Owens of this parish, spinster, daughter of William Owens, age 21, were married in this church by licence 5th August 1811, witnesses William Williams and Henry Jones. By Edward Hughes, curate.

I can't see anywhere where it says which parish this marriage took place in - they have it listed as Flint Banns, which is obviously wrong since they got married by licence. I would think the marriage took place at Caerwys, and the C of E Clergy Database confirms that there was a curate called Edward Hughes at Caerwys at that time.

So - Robert Jones's father was called William. Unfortunately there will be millions of those around! Still, it is unusual for a marriage cert from 1811 to give fathers' names, so we should be grateful for that.

The "of the parish of Ysceifiog" just means that was where he was living when he got married, but we don't know whether his whole family had moved there from Gwytherin, or just him.
