I was a bit confused by your transcription of the 1851 entry so I looked at the image and it gives his birthplace as Glamorgan Llangenith, in case anyone else is wondering. But it looks like a nightmare to sort out! There's another John Thomas, cordwainer the same age, born Llangennith and living in Llanrhidian with a wife Jane, and there are several possible birth regs for William and Henry.

You can see what a nightmare Welsh genealogy is! I once spent ages looking for a gt x lots grandmother of ex's called Jennet, tried Janet which its often misrecorded as, found it as Gennet! In one census I have a whole street with several men with the same name and wives with the same name. No idea which - if any - is the one I want, or if the others are all related, or not!
