Findmypast and FamilySearch have also updated their 1940 census indexes but they now seem to be showing some states as available to search when they are not indexed, which is a bit confusing, so I won't list the ones they may or may not have added!

FamilySearch are showing a total of 22,693,907 indexed records and FMP say 53,111,895, whereas ancestry say 134,473,456 so it looks as though FamilySearch and FMP have a way to go yet.
