In the meantime I found the marriage of Joseph Newton and Rebecca:
Text: Joseph Newton, p. Long Eaton, co. Derby, husbandman, aged 30, & Rebecca Burton, p. Toton, aged 28, lic. 06 Sep 1718 Book: Marriages at Lenton, 1540 to 1812. (Marriage) Collection: Nottinghamshire: - Register of Marriages, 1540-1812 By Licence This makes very interesting reading, especially as it concentrates on the area around Heydour: http://etheses.dur.ac.uk/12108/1/1_F...sis.pdf?DDD17+ |
