Default Martha Robinson nee Boxall

Martha BOXALL born 1839 Upwaltham, Sussex

Had a son: James William ROBINSON in 1863 Epsom reg. district.
Definitely hers, as he is with the grandparents in 1871 - Martha died in 1866
On his baptism record, father is William Robinson, engine driver. He died before 1864.

Other probable children:
Amy Robinson, born 1859 Epsom - no idea if she lived or died.
William Thomas Robinson, born 1861 Wandsworth
(There is a death for a William Thomas Robinson in Wandsworth in 1862. Age on GRO site is "6", but I suspect that is actually 6 months)

What I can't find is:
1. A marriage for Martha to William Robinson
2. Martha and William in 1861

(I have to admit that my brain is extremely sluggish at the moment!)

You could check the mmn for the birth registrations to confirm they are all Boxall from the new GRO indexes.

You could also check the death records on there for Amy as age at death is given.

Sorry, just read the whole of your post and realise you must have done that already!

Maybe they were in one of the missing areas for 1861?

If you can't find a death for Amy have you tried under the other surname from Martha's 1864 marriage (sorry, forgotten the name now!).

Have you found a death for Wm Robinson?

This is Martha's 1864 marriage, Merry, 27 Jun 1864 at Ewell, to Walter George Dowsing:

She is Martha Ann on this marriage and she was Martha Ann on the son's baptism too.

No I haven't.
Obviously William Robinson is a very common name and though he probably died in south London/Surrey, he might not have done.

Can't find an Amy Dowsing in 1861 or 1871
Edit that: There is an Amy Dorling, born 1859 Epsom at West Hill School, Lewisham in 1871. This could be her as there doesn't appear to be an Amy Dorling in 1861

She is. She must have adopted the "Ann" at some point, as she was baptised just Martha.

Martha is the only member of a large family that isn't "finished".
Annoying woman.
