If he signed his name on the marriages, you could compare the signatures to see if they match, though sometimes it's hard to be sure.
Also you could look at the Index to Death Duty Registers to see if there is an entry for him on there just in case he left a will or there was an admon despite it not being on the Wiltshire Archives site.
