Hampshire Record Office have a will of a Joseph Roe, sen, of Houghton, Hampshire, blacksmith, from 1791.

There are also these entries in their catalogue:

Description (i) Executors of the will of the Rt Hon Sir Giles Rooke, and Joseph Roe of Houghton, yeoman (eldest son of Joseph Roe, late of Houghton, yeoman)

Description (i) Joseph Roe of Stockbridge, yeoman and Thomas Warner of Romsey

(ii) Joseph Foster Barham, esq of Stockbridge

Not sure how many different Joseph Roes in all these!!
