Default Satisfying find

Just browsing through my tree I found I didn't have a birth date for one of my Dad's cousins,Eleanor Gorton.

I found the birth readily enough, as I knew she'd been born in the Truro district. It listed her as Eleanor V. Gorton. I wondered if the V stood for Violet, as Eleanor's mother Ruth had a sister called Violet.

Then I found a baptism for Eleanor Violet Gorton in Limpenhoe. Definitely her as her parents names match and more conclusively, Limpenhoe is the tiny village in Norfolk where Ruth and Violet and my Dad's father Jeuel were all born and raised.

I'm speculating that Violet was probably one of Eleanor's godparents. But what a journey in 1909 to go from Truro with a baby all the way to a remote village in Norfolk!

Now I have her middle name I've found her and her husband and her birth date on the 1939 register.
