Default Ann Walford (Week 4 - MFMMMM)

Name - "official" name and what they were known as

Ann Walford

Date and place of birth

About 1765 in Oxfordshire

Names of parents

George Walford and Ann née Brotherton

Date and place of baptism - if applicable

Not known

Details of each of his or her marriages - if any

12th Oct 1791 a the Friends' Meeting House, Sibford Gower, Oxfordshire to Joseph Tyler.

Ann was not from a Quaker family, so I presume she converted before her marriage. I have not found a record of this though.

Occupation(s) - if any

None

Addresses where they lived (including county if in UK) - and please list which censuses you have or haven't found him/her on (if s/he lived in census times!).

1819-1837 North Newington, Oxfordshire

Date, place and cause of death

18th Jan 1837 at her son's home in Prestbury, Gloucestershire. Cause unknown.

Date and place of burial.

22nd Jan 1837 at the Friends' Meeting House burying ground, Banbury, Oxfordshire.

Details of will / administration of their estate - if applicable

Probate granted 23rd Sept 1837. Annoyingly, she left her bed quilt, embroidered with her maiden name and marriage date to the "wrong" daughter - not my ancestor, who would definitely have kept it and, barring accident, I would own it now!

Memorial inscription - if any

Not looked yet!
