On my Jewish line, my 2xg-grandparents were first cousins, so it means that the matches on that side are estimated to be more closely related to me than they would be if you figured it out from just one line. I was just looking at one who is near the top of the 3rd to 4th cousins but is actually fourth cousin in one way and fifth in another way.
