There was another distant relative called Fred Quintrell who left Cornwall to go to New Zealand. I have a book written by his son. It is intitled "Horse Shoes to Dog Collars".
Fred was from Gerrans where my ancestors lived, and we share common ancestors. He was the fourth child of Sidney and Margery Quintrell, and he was baptised as Frederick.
He became a minister.
My mother became friends with the family and they visited her when the came to England.
