The Italian text reads as follows:

JAMES WILLIAMS, A.M./ OF PENDLEY MANOR, HERTS,/ BORN AT TRING PARK, HERTS, FEBRUARY 27TH 1857,/ DIED AT FLORENCE JANUARY 27TH, 1873/ "SHE IS NOT DEAD, BUT SLEEPETH"/ LUKE VIII.52 VERSE/ Alphabetical register of persons buried in the Pinti Cemetery: Williams/ Frederick / James / America/ Florence / 27 January / 1873/ Age 18/ 1297/ [Incorrect gender, nation]/ (in French) Miss Federica Williams, America, daughter of James and Elisabeth née Grout/ GL Burial 30/01, Rev Tottenham/ Fine Arts 1993-1997 form/ Swiss Reformed Evangelical Church, 1827-2010.

Cippo and lastra both mean tombstone; judging by the photo, I assume that cippo refers to the vertical cross and lastra to the horizontal (triangular) slab above the base.
