I have just had a DNA match with Edward, b 1793
Several years on, I can now view Sussex registers.... except I can't.
Sussex labourers moved all over the place, so it's feasible that Charles' father was working in (or his mother came from) Hurstpierpoint, and then returned to Cowfold, but the Family Search link is only to the Bishops' Transcripts, and doesn't appear to be working correctly any way.
Chichester, here I come.
