And doing other searches DO reveal wills for Orcheston St Mary.
I can see from fmp that the transcript was from the Nimrod Index. I did a small bit of indexing for this years ago, for Barbara Carter. She must have had access to records. Clearly the next step is to contact the record office.
Interestingly, it looks as if another brickwall might be lurking, waiting to be knocked down in this parish.
So grateful for your and Kat's help. It demonstrates more unknown unknowns.
