In 1841 she is with her son William 19 and an Ann Ball aged 50.
So, assuming the 1861 has the wrong marital status, I can see she is likely to be the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Ball, but I can't see why she would be the mother of Susannah Jones.

In 1841 Susanna is living with Thomas & Elizabeth Ball. Obviously no relationships in 1841, but maybe this is where the assumption came from.
