This Mary Ball shows as unmarried in 1871 but in 1861 she is a widow with her dau Mrs Jane Patrick aged 47 and her son-in-law William Patrick who is only 29!
In 1851 she is unmarried again and has a son William Ball aged 27.
In 1841 she is with her son William 19 and an Ann Ball aged 50.
So, assuming the 1861 has the wrong marital status, I can see she is likely to be the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Ball, but I can't see why she would be the mother of Susannah Jones.
