Sue, thanks so much. That ties in with who I had for his parents from the census. His mother was Elizabeth (nee Ascott) from Halberton Devon.
He was a farrier on the censuses, so great!
I only started this last night. We had dinner with our friends and when we had coffee here she said she would like to do her father's tree and she knew her grandfather's name and when and where he was born (approximately). I sent her home with some print-outs but thought I could carry on this morning.
