I will order the marriage certificate and see if that takes me any further.

I will also order the death certificates of the children now I have been told, by someone with access to the Welford Road Cemetery details, that Reginald was one day old when he died and Dorothy three weeks.

I'm finding this all very moving - more so I think because (a) we don't have a lot of child death in our family, possibly because there aren't many children and (b) this happened to someone I knew, and knew well.
