...but on the 1861 census the Ann Coe who was actually nee Digby before marriage above is Priscilla Lewsey nee Coe's mother and Mary Ann is her sister. Below them is John Digby who is also related via Ann her mother

I've always been a bit suspicious about Priscilla Coe being Ann and Richard Coe's daughter and not Mary Ann's because there is a big gap between her and the child before her and I've never found a baptism - I should send for her birth cert really. The reason I'm suspicious is Mary Ann never married I think there was a problem with her she is listed as invalid there but later on she is working as a needlewoman/dressmaker from memory at home there was clearly something wrong with Mary Ann but never made clear on subsequent census - terms used - afflicted etc and she ended her days with Priscilla although on the last census she was in the St Pancras workhouse for a while.

Edit to say: I just realised I could never find a birth reg for Priscilla Coe!
