That wedding was 4 Aug 1851 not 1857!

And I wonder if the '(deceased)' on the 1857 marriage cert for Clara is crossed out? I had thought those marks across the word had come through from the other side of the page as they slope the 'wrong' way (if you are right handed!), but there's nothing on the reverse of the sheet, or on the opposite page if the register was closed before the ink had dried for that entry.

EDIT: Having said that, under the fathers' names box, where it says about marriage by banns/licence etc, both the dash after 'by' and the cross through of the word 'or' are both also as if left handed.

In any case, William should have died between 1851 and 1861 and I still can't find him!
