My GGG grandfather Thomas Newey served in the 17th foot Leicestershire Regiment for 26 years, most of that in India. I can find the baptisms for the children from both his marriages. I can't find those marriages at all. First to a Jane, second to Elizabeth. Elizabeth is buried in Stamford, Lincs but I can't find a burial for Jane either.
