Since I last posted, I have received a private message from a lady who is, I think, John's great-niece. She has more WWI postcards and some family photos, including some of May. Very generously, she has scanned these and sent them to me and I will return the favour when I have access to a scanner.
It's been quite emotional, so thank you GF for making that happen.
